Yamazaki and some things concerning some people
« on: July 30, 2009, 03:50:57 PM »
http://img106.imageshack.us/i/screenshoturh.png/

 - A couple of days ago Don Drago came to me reporting a bug present in
my creations and sent me a youtube of someone trying to make fun of it.
I don't even know why I still put my e-mail adress in these files. No one
outside my own circle of friends has ever bothered to send me shit regarding
bugs or anything.
 - Yamazaki was made focused on balance, as everything I plan to release
from now on. This thing was ready since, like, two years ago? Then I woke up last night and asked myself: "Why don't I download MUGEN? I'm so bored."
And I downloaded it. ;) Later that night I finally managed to restore my old backups with the exception of Yun, he will be missed.
 - Updates shall come if I don't decide to discontinue them all, but Lister
is missing only some decent dust effects to be 100% complete. Help me.

 - FOUR BUTTONS.

fongo-world's been a bitch lately, http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=53596195c59b72211686155677bb2685acb2f81b1b35733f LOL WARUSAKI.

Liger if you're still there I need you to e-mail me Fei-Long, shit is going crazy back home. And HAHAHAHA someone stripped me from my powers. ;(

You shouldn't put your e-mail in your creations. That's my suggestion. Put it in your account, so people from this forum are the ones that can see it. And besides, a lot of people will give feedback if you post your characters here, so don't hesitate to do that.

Did you ever get my e-mail about Yun's Guard Cancel Attack using no power? Not a big deal though, easy fix. Also that was my video showing the supposed "bug" with Yun's Storm Ghost, I wasn't making fun of it, I was just getting angry of having it fail on me, so decided to joke about it. I love that move alot really, especially the SDM version.

Well, regardless, good to have you back. It was barely a year ago when I began playing with your Ryo, Kim and Yun, and I continue to enjoy them to this day. Even though I got into playing them late, they are among my favorite characters because of their playstyle.

Feedback on Yamazaki -

- The readme says I can cancel his Drill SDM into the Guillotine DM, but when I do that, the Guillotine always whiffs. Tried it in the corner too, and it whiffed has well.
- I think you should add Yamazaki's pursuit attack (d,d + K) from RB2 to him. If your not familiar with it, Yamazaki can stomp on his opponent when they are on the ground, and kick them away.

Also, I had a couple of suggestions for Ryo -

- Add some autoguard to Zanretsuken's start-up.
- Make Moko Raijin Setsu go higher up and have a faster recovery time after it connects. This move is one of Ryo's most important moves for closing the distance between his opponent, and it was safe to use if it was blocked, not to mention you could fly over fireballs with it.
- Viofitz made some sprite edits of CvS Ryo, with moves like Koho Shippuken (NGBC version) and Biru Bin Kiri (KOFXI), would be cool if you could incorporate these moves. He also had a couple different poses too for his intro/win pose I think.

- I can't get his Explosive Headbutt command grab move to work, he just snake arms instead.
Works fine for me. With or without controller, I can pull off the move fine. And how the heck can you pull out a Snake Hand instead? It's a reverse DP! You must be doing your half-circles in a really weird way for it to happen.

- The readme says I can cancel his Drill SDM into the Guillotine DM, but when I do that, the Guillotine always whiffs. Tried it in the corner too, and it whiffed has well.
Against who? On my end, I was able to do it on everyone I ever fought.

Don't forget, I've had this beast for over a year now, and I can tell you those are suspicious. :V

Edit: Hmm... Tengu's right about the second thing on this version. It just missed on Jin's Kyo.

Nvm, turns out I got the command wrong.  I read it has just HCB for some reason and thought that move was taking priority over the command. I didn't notice the command was HCB, F in the readme. So problem solved there. Silly me. :P

Also I wasn't referring to his "Snake Hand" move, but his "Hebi Tsukai" aka Snake Arm move, the QCB one.

Against who? On my end, I was able to do it on everyone I ever fought

Tested it vs. Fong's Ryo and Pots Ryu, and it whiffed.

I meant his move "Hebi Tsukai" (QCB), I always called it Snake Arm, so forgive me for not being specific, and I didn't see he had another move in there called "Snake Hand". When I do HCB, I get that move instead of the command grab. The command seems to overlap and take priority over it.
Not at all. Tell me, how do you do your commands? What's your controller? Keyboard? Stick? Gamepad?[/s]Oh okay then

And yeah, about the whiffing, you're right, this version does whiff, even on walls.

EDIT: Okay, this is weird. Tengu, try doing a combo before hcbx2+pp, then cancel into qcfx2+p, it will hit.

Okay, NOW it hits.

Strange how it'll whiff if you do the command grab super stand alone, but if you super cancel into it, it will connect. Hmmmm... I dunno if that was intended or not. But oh well.

Still an awesome Yamazaki anyway you look at it.
